Night Camping

Night Camping

A Poem by ROXANE DORSEY

 sit'n pretty as a lily on a pond's pad
finer than a lady's pearl
does the moon hang tight well into the night
feel earth swirl
up howls an owl hoot'n & a toot'n
nutty squirrels
dangling willows
bucking deer panting near
plush rabbit ears
spy eyes nearby
coconut grubs to love
ground holes
mosquitoes nose
camp fire embers
friends
marshmallow wholes

nice word imagery of what camping out offers except for the mosquitoes.
(in australia our slang word for them is 'mozzies'

i also read some of your other poems, but didn't comment because i don't understand free verse style at all.

the beauty of camping and nature appreciation are two things that a person should experience.
