Lovely Saturday

Lovely Saturday

A Poem by ROXANE DORSEY

glory awakens life's intense rising of the sun
creeping upon evil dreams
snap'n we into a wonderful
crisp Saturday morning
surprising ears glued

doves singing love
flies buzzing bye
making lilies cry
cars hound horns
tires screech each
buses make'n rounds
leaves settling down

hawks preying pigeons
tv cowboys & Indians
kitchen whip'n vittles
for all the little kids
raking yards

sometimes we think life is too hard, too chaotic....and we might think of leaving it. But then, after all of those evil dreams, we wake to the mundane and breathe a sigh of relief....might be hell, but we are alive to experience it...
and maybe once again rake some leaves and play cowboys and indians just one more time.
damn i am glad i found your page again...

i had been gone for a few months...and missed these when i came back.
you are inspiring me, Roxane...and i am really perplexed that this poem has so many views, yet no other reviews...what are people thinking?
