Sink or swimA Poem by Mara
She's standing on a Clif
The oceon a siren A beautiful deathly hymn. The wind pushes her back, Almost like its begging her to stay The sky breaks, and starts to weep Rain drops coat her cheeks like tears Closed eyes, Deep breath in She flies. Gravity wins Pulling her down The sea welcomes her with brutality Hugging, squeezing, suffercating her until she is a toy for the waves A roaring protest sounds from heaven She blinks Salt water burning her eyes Light awakens the sky in flashes A reply from god? She thinks... Perhaps not, A smile.. Acceptance Peace. © 2017 MaraAuthor's Note
