I Know

I Know

A Poem by Tai Chi Italy
"

Fighting my demons the only way I know!

"

I am not allowed to love you.
I know
I am not allowed to care.
I know
I am not allowed to love you
I know
Someone else has you now and there.

I know, I know, I know
But I also know, I really don’t know how to let you go.
I should want to hate you, but I can’t bring myself to.

All I know
Is this is hell and most definitely
Not fair.

I liked this because I used to be able to relate to it, but not anymore. Reminders of the past days, I suppose.
It's got a catchy flow despite it's simplicity, because it's pure and straight from you, I suppose.
You start off saying that you know it's wrong, and then you get a bit insecure, saying that you only know one thing: that it's not fair.
Beautiful way of pulling off and expressing raw emotion in writing.

We've all been there, right?
Unfortunately, emotion often seems to trump logic. Especially when it comes to matters of love.

I like the clever wording in this line: "But I also know, I really don't know how to let you go."

Kudos!

Wow... I could really feel the emotions through all of that. Very nice.

Fantastic write Tai.

So sincere and emotional. I am personally a believer (at risk of sounding like a stalker!!), that while the only thing we can do in these situations is fight for the strength to move on - to ever FULLY stop loving someone that you loved, throws into question how true your love was in the first place - i don't believe it to be a weakness - in fact it is far more of a strength to go on doing the right thing in spite of how we feel.

Top write ;)

I love this poem, I feel this so much, all in my past, all my loves,
but these feelings sometimes always creeps in,
this poem says it all.

Grrr, damned inner demons need to give Mama Tai a rest already! *beats them around for a bit*

Loves lost isn't easy, seen it plenty of times, though I haven't felt it. Here's to hoping another, better guy comes round to save you from this.

You know a song called "I know, I know, I know" for Tegan and Sara? This poem just reminded me of it!
I've gone through similar things, I can relate. This poem is so simple yet so deep, and it paints a painful picture.
Sometimes it really isn't fair... I Know..
Take care :)

ha! This is hell that 's fantastic, it is. Hell is now here. It is so difficult to let go... perhaps we never will learn...Wonderful poem about how we stick in your loving weakness. Adored it.

Tai - The "pushed away-ness" of this piece is so vital, so overflowing in pain and confusion. I feel for you, knowing this dynamic and the everything-BUT-fairness of it. I wish you love and wisdom and insight.
