Call Me To War

Call Me To War

A Poem by Talliesin
"

A short acrostic on war... not much else to be said :P hope you like it and FYI it was written in an economics class of all places-hope nothing has seeped in... :P

"
Call me to war, the ground's shaking so slowly,
All my new brothers sing slashed in dark blood,
Love left at home, fear dull and yet blinding,
Love left at home and red anger gone cold,
Men who are farmers and poets and fathers,
Ensnared by their minds have drowned their own souls,
Today and tonight we pray for the dawn-gasp,
Orange to wash us pale nightmares away,
Women see true and cry out for their loved ones,
All who lie cold will weep with them no more,
Remember the fallen and ready for war.
