Morning Time

Morning Time

A Poem by Tammy

Tweet, tweet sang out

an Autumn’s cry

as russet and gold float

down from the sky

Flaccid green grass

ridged with fright

stiffened in terror

during the cold dark night

Frosty morning breath

kisses the wind

with a crisp seasonal briskness

of a casual friend

Sun shines brighter

than a chilly morning dew

as I gaze out my window

enjoying the view

Made me stiffen with the cold. Thanks for this entry in my contest.

Loved the ending

Sun shines brighter

than a chilly morning dew

as I gaze out my window

enjoying the view
