On my own

On my own

A Poem by Serenity

I'm insecure.
I keep my feelings locked away and watch you from afar.
You could never love a girl like me.
And she is everything that I wish I could be.
Hide behind my smile as I steal a glance.
Cry by myself when I get the chance.
Started writing this before that night.
Wishing I didn't stand up and fight.
I lost more than I thought.
Bet you didn't think you would get caught.
Parts of me are missing, shattered on the ground.
But it doesn't matter cause you're not around.
Realizing I was stupid for ever letting you in.
Wishing I hadn't let you see who I am within.
But I'm stronger than I look.
Even you can't read me like a book.
I'm done now just wait and see
I'm stronger than you will ever be!
