I Ain't No Love Poet

I got to be honest with you

I Ain't No Love Poet

And I've never really been in Love

But I imagine that it must feel something like this

You don't mind texting them but you would prefer it if they called

You can't stand not hearing the sound of their voice

It sends shivers up and down your spine

Their voice is like the harmony to a sweet symphony

You crave their touch

Their fingertips grazing your skin

Their arms around you

Their head resting against you

Whenever they are near your body is on fire

Your heart beats fast and it catches in your stomach

As if it is saying that it wants to come out

When you see that person

Both your heart and your stomach look at each other

And it is as if they have suddenly broken out into some funky flashmob routine

You heart racing all the while

Pounding against your ribcage like some crazy untaimed beast

And your body feels like it can no longer take it

It feels as if Cupid crashlanded inside of you

Like he took a fighter pilot

Because his arrow couldnt contain the amount feeling that your heart holds

And every time you try to talk to them to tell them how you feel

Words could never ever describe that feeling to them

And they would never ever understand it in the first place

And when you see that person

Your breathing speeds up

A smile spreads across you lips

And it feels like your on a rollercoaster

Because of how fast your heart is beating

It could have its own base solo if it wanted one

Now I've never really been in Love

But I imagine that it must feel something like that

And I got to be honest with you

that was a great love poem from someone who' doesnt write lovey poems.. i never did either until one day, all those things you just described happened.. and now im a hopeless sap.. well at least most of the time.. lol
