Pretty amazing for your first poem! I can't wait to see where you go from here. Even tho your message is simply stated, the underlying life lesson is profound. It's so common for people to feel insignificant . . . but we can choose to star in our own lives! The only thing I would suggest to you, as a new writer, is that you could inject some imagery here . . . poetry is often about stimulating the senses . . . show me a twinkling star or a shooting star or show me the glittering spray of the milky way when you refer to the many stars already in the atmosphere. I'm not suggesting that you change this poem. It's very good as a simply stated idea. I'm just saying for future writings, think about using more sensory descriptions (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
