I take all my lovers to the ocean

I take all my lovers to the ocean

A Poem by Taxidermy 101

All my love was buried at sea,

I told him--but don’t despair,

because we can go there and

Watch the waves rising and dying

and we can try and float like driftwood

Or we can just swim out and

Lose the ground and we can dive

For all the things we ever lost

but never find the bottom.

Or we could live there-in a bathysphere

A rusty old eye sinking

down"

     down"

        down

But we won’t call it drowning

We’ll just say

we’ve been found.
