Pierce the Veil

Pierce the Veil

A Poem by Kiara
"

I'm trying to explain how I feel when I listen to my favorite band (Pierce the Veil, of course).

"
I press play,
Turn up the volume,
Turn it up a little more,
And a little more.
It's perfect.
I listen to the flow,
Eyes closed.
I relax.
I let the music empty
Out of the headphones,
And into me.
It controls me,
Taking my mind,
Forbidding any outside emotion.
Everything outside this music
Disappears.
I can feel the music inside of me.
I can really feel it,
Replacing my heart.
It's an impossible feeling,
Only here when I'm listening to them.
This is what makes me okay.

Great explaining of how music effects you. We have our favorite bands, perhaps some the same as yours, perhaps not...but we all have that certain feeling when we listen to them that no one or nothing can make us feel. It has a way of understanding us and our current emotions at that time...it sinks with us and soon brings us back to our original level of sanity...it makes us alive again. Our music.

I feel this way when listening to Three Days Grace, 3 Doors Down, and Skillet.
It feels as if the whole world disappears and for once I have peace.
Great job:) I love this. It is well written..

I can also agree with this. It's exactly how I feel about Green Day, Emily's Army, Falling In Reverse, Three Days Grace, and a whole bunch of other bands...but mostly Green Day

I can relate as well, music is a beautiful distraction, especially when it drowns everything out and you let it take over you. Great write Taylor. :)
