ANGER: A DISEASE

Steps traced through successive millenniums

The day hovered, the dark smeared in the night

Yet no one perceived the change

Frustration

Anger

Hatred

The transmits able the ailments

Impatience, its symptom

Human, its vector

Human, the infected

Roaring, yelling toughens failure

Meditation, its cure

So, Eyes closed, lie down

Relaxing your soul lures

Anger dislikes silence

If anger could be forever quenched, extinguished from existence evermore, acts of war, murder, family violence and disputes, would come to near extinction; to be written in history books no more, reported on the news never again ... All except for those individuals who do not need the incentive of anger to carry out their misdeeds; those who find pleasure in harming others ... Yet, if all mankind could master the extinction and extinguishing of anger from their lives the world would take on a new radiance in glowing exhibition of fruitful productiveness that would give way to an age of unspeakable advancement for all humanity like no other time in history ... Without anger to rule our thoughts, emotions, and actions, compassion would begin to rule the world, brotherly love becoming a reality, rather than wishful thinking ... And as for those demented souls who find pleasure in the pain and harming of others, compassion would find us tenderly putting an end to their animal-crazed existences out of mercy that harbors no place for anger ... Anger is, first, self destructive, and then moves on to consume and destroy others ... Sadly, we all suffer from it from time to time, as I humbly must confess ... But ... We can dream of better days, and an age of anger-less glory to come ... Wonderful thoughts you have shared, and, as you can see, inspired even in me ...
