When God Turns Her Eyes Away

When God Turns Her Eyes Away

A Poem by Teddybearlee

The warmth of hell would be a comfort
To know that I still have any feeling left
Abandoned, left for dead, alone
The price for my love has been set

This is an inbetween space
Not the purgatory of which I was told
Yet it all is the shades of black
Shimmering from dull to bold

Frozen in time and waiting forever
But this is not immortality of body
This is a quicksand of the soul
Learning that without you there is no me

The screaming and praying have been done
Unanswered by falling stars and deaf ears
I have no choice but to succumb
And accept that the truth is all my fears

A smirk on my face as a part of me has known
How damned this man can be
Such a pretty and beautiful world I was shown
And have it ripped away like a tornado to a tree

I will await, I have no choice in the matter
For your eye to fall upon me again
Ripped from the wheel of time
You are the lure, to save me then
