Unfaithful

Unfaithful

A Poem by Tenebrousoul

My heart skips a beat
I gulp, rinse, repeat.
I see you standing there.
When we're alone, it's more than I can bear.
I know you're lying in bed with me, but thinking of him.
I've lost all my vigour, my will, my vim.
You kiss me in the mournings.
You kiss me in bed at night.
Who you've opened yourself to is a mystery,
It still doesn't make it right.
I know you're capable enough to love me only when I'm there.
I know it's hell to keep the peace in your heart and head.
But I was gone, left you with just my song,
You got sick of listening, so you turned me off instead.
I know that you are unfaithful.
I've always known it from the start.
When you told the swamp man you loved him,
That's when I knew we should part.

Nice poem. Or song? Hope you split from that one. She and the swamp man probably deserve each other and you deserve better. Best of luck.
