My Summer Romance

This poem is dedicated to someone who I could always be myself with

We were under a shady tree when a bird flew by us one day
You laughed because it walked funny, and then it flew away
Spend the day with me and teach me to play guitar
Share the night with me so you can help me count the stars
I know when it rains your arms will be my shelter
Because you're my best friend and my invisible lover
