Echoes

Echoes

A Poem by Creepy Swine Guy
"

Something that came to heart for some friends.

"

Put your head on

my shoulder and cry.

Let the acerbic tears fall.

Let them cut their swaths

through me to the place

where compassion lies.

Let them plunk into the

deepest pools of my mercy.

For I have cried away all of my

own tears and still I have room

to hold so many more.

Let the soft echoes of your

falling teardrops resonate in

me ... where they will fade

quietly away,

that you may find your peace.

such a unique and wonderful expression of friendship here. not just an offer of a shoulder, or a sympathetic ear, but to take another's tears within oneself, to in essence consume their sorrow and make it your own. all so they might set down the burden, leave it behind and move forward into the light. almost a self-sacrifice if you will, in the name of compassion. lovely write :)

Oh, wow! This is so sweet! Talk about being supportive and absolutely loving. Unselfishly you would take their pain in order for them not to have to endure it. How beautiful is that. Fabulous.

I really enjoyed this poem. If I was your friend I would be honored that you penned this for me. In this crazy a*s society it is nice to know you can depend on someone. Your poem does that and I know it touches the heart of the people that are not your friend. Thanks for creating and sharing. Great Write!

This is so beautiful and it is so true of a real friendship. I've cried my fair share of tears on a friends shoulder and there was nothing I could've needed more. You've conveyed the necessity of a true friend. I truly loved this poem :)

This is an exceptional piece. The intensity of the feeling is really transported through words, although not much but stirring.

What a touching piece. We need a world of people with that kind of compassion. What a great heart, and great words. Rain..
