Jenga

Jenga

A Poem by The Exiled Wolf
"

A Jenga tower is destined to collapse, so I guess I shouldn't complain...

"

Brick by brick

Layer by layer

I deliberately place the blocks

Building myself a Jenga tower

“Can you give me one brick? Please!” pleads a stranger

Deep in my heart I want to say no

“OK, do whatever you want…” I shrug

Oh no, not again! Am I a psycho?

“As a boy, you should be strong,” snaps an adult

Another two pieces fly into the sky

“See, the tower still stands,

There is no point for you to cry!”

“Let’s have fun,” demands a friend

Swiftly he pulls out three blocks of mine

“Aren’t you happy?” asks he

When my blocks are used to perfect his design

Brick by brick

Layer by layer

They recklessly extract my bricks

Demolishing my Jenga tower

--- And weaving my final disaster

Brilliant metaphor for that feeling when your "friends" are all take and no give. I liked your imaginative style. Stay inspired!
