Prove My Worth

I tried hard to earn love from everyone, but it just cast me deeper into despair. He is the only one that sees my true form and still loves me. This is dedicated to my Lord, in the tune of Halllelujah

There was once a plan of a perfect child

Simple as these cannot go wrong, can it?

Be who you wanted me to be

Coz there’s no enough love for a misfit

Well I tried my best, but it didn’t take long

Before every single thing went wrong

Worthless as me cannot be loved, can I?

Depressed, ashamed and I cursed my birth

Devastated, with no more worth

No more hope to live, no more strength to try

But He has loved me since my birth

He never asks me to prove my worth

Faith is a good thing. Just always remember that it isn't restricted to a specific religion or deity.

A good idea would be to use regular font when you post writing on the internet. The novelty of it's visual appearance is dwarfed by the annoyance of reading fancy font off a screen. The fancy fonts are all good for things like invitations or short letters but on a screen while trying to express intellectual concepts it's just annoying.

This started, to me, as just another endless droning of teenage angst, another wave upon an ocean filled with them, but ended on a surprising and humbling note.

It is good that you have a strong faith. Everybody needs to feel as though they are loved. A life without love is tragic. Thank you for your poem. Nicely expressed.
