A Cold Night DefeatedA Poem by Jed JohnsonLove under coverColdness creeps in under my covers,
feet search for warmth from my lover. tossing and turning as the wind blows, out my window, the Borealis, glows. Chastened by the whispering breeze, her touch decrees my heart's release. I sense the soft strings with my horse hair bow, the emerald shade shrouds my soul. My arrow nocked and I draw back, she is ready as I attack. engulfed in her warmth, as lips press, off to sleep with a final caress. © 2016 Jed JohnsonAuthor's Note
