A Thing Amongst the Darkness

A Thing Amongst the Darkness

A Poem by Jazz Newport Green

There is a thing amongst the darkness,
A thing I cannot see.

There is a disturbance amongst the darkness,
Please console me,
For what lies in the drapes of darkness
Seeks to kill me.

There is no light amongst the darkness,
There is no hope in this dark soul,
For what false light there is,
Can only danger be.

I am in the the midst of darkness,
On me it has it's hold.

Deliver my soul from darkness.
Give me light that I may see.
And tho it can never be,
Please deliver me from darkness.
Deliver me from me.
