The Man Inside Her Head

The Man Inside Her Head

A Poem by Nadine Ryan

No you can’t, see inside of her head
But look at all of those men,
Crawling in and out of her bed.
And she’s not broken, no
She is what everyone else sees
Stronger than you or me
But nightly, she cries
But nightly, she dies.
Look at her
What is it you truly see
Standing tall in front of you
Her walls, proudly towering
Break them down.
Watch them fall
Pick up the broken pieces left behind
Fragments of her broken lives
And exterior built with lies
Break them down
Scratch the surface
Scratch it deep
She’s holding on to words she keeps
Bottled up inside her head
Spilling out now
She’ll hide instead
She can’t stay, the walls go up
The secrets left as untouched
Waiting again
The men inside her bed
The man inside her head.

Stillness must be your worst enemy...when you're not busy not moving imagine the demons that show themselves! Very poignant write!
