Entry 1; Genuflect

This is the first entry in a poetry book I have titled: Mind of a Holy Warrior

With this sword I will choose where to strike,

I will take the beasts all at once and I will fight.

With My Dear Lord as the successor, there will be no way to lose,

I may leave this battle with a few marks and probably a bruise

But sometimes you must fight for the essence of life you choose.

A beautiful sound rings softly within the ears of mine.

With tasteful lips I taste the fluent wine,

Refreshing my body, I can feel my soul rejuvenate within.

Oh, the brilliance I indulge in. 

Praise thee. Lift thee.

Dear Lord God, Be In Me!

Aye, it's day two and another glorious fight.

Kiss me dear, and wish me luck, for today is the flight.

I will watch the autumn leaves dance to the ground.

Hitting the grass without nary a sound.

Watch as the sun shines through the lifeless yet living trees.

The rays hit me at a perfect degree, 

it defines the outline of the angel within me.

Dear God, your majesty is displayed with

such an outline of grace and the core being holy.

Oh the beauty; Oh the sweet kisses of the breeze.

I do what I'm doing because I am praying to you that I may please.

I will build an altar below your knees,

and pray at your feet.

Genuflecting every minute so you can shower in the small drops of my praise that shall only amount to the downpour you deserve.

I pray that the love and care I show for you in a feeble form may be enough to satisfy your flavor.

I will be here with you holding me up.

As your shield I am strengthened as if you are my luck.

With you I can not lose.

You have me as all your proof.

The true artist here is you,

without your hands tracing mine, I know not what to do.

So here I am, gracing you.
