A Downside to Being Hushed

A Downside to Being Hushed

A Poem by TheLastEclipse
"

All as a precaution...

"

I'll just sit here,

And I'll hope you find a reason to speak with me.

I see your perfection

And I hope not to offend.,

So I might as well

Bite my tongue.

I surely am wondering,

What lies beneath your eyes;

You've got the gaze that leaves me breathless.

I've got to make my move this time.

Yet fear leaves me paralyzed;

What if the worst was to come?

How could I deal with myself if I knew you hated me?

I guess I assure myself in wondering.

She's struggling to get through her life,

Yet I remain so still.

Stuck to the ground,

When all I can hope to do,

Is sink my teeth into your flesh.

I can't stand the way I think.
