The Rut

The Rut

A Poem by Mark Daniels

Day in and day out,
it's the same old thing.
very little variation,
like running round in a ring.

never anything new,
like the same old rhyme.
I feel like i could very well
lose my mind.

Year after year,
day after day,
it's quite frustrating,
i must say.

that one can not find
a better way to spend their time.
find someone, someway to spend your time,
some ways wont cost you a dime.

Now Go, and listen to your gut,
or you'll end up just like me,
stuck in a bottomless rut.
