You're Not Promised Tomorrow

You're Not Promised Tomorrow

A Poem by Lydia
"

I've learned that no one is promised tomorrow through a lot of expieriences.

"

Make the most of today

Because no one is promised tomorrow

Mend grudges that have been held for far too long

Do what you can to prevent further sorrow

Tell the ones you care about that you love them so

Dance like no one is watching

Call up your old friends just to say hello

If not, you might miss out on a lot of things

Try exotic foods you never thought you would try

Help others who are in need

Say, see you later instead of goodbye

Promise yourself that you will always succeed

Don't live for others, live for yourself

Take the lead, and do not follow

All these things are what people will remember, not your wealth

If you're gone before tomorrow.

brave and realistic advice , wonderfully centered in the poetic verse, and exquisitely written, well done!

I really love this poem, maybe it's because of recent events that I see the truth of your words.
I absolutely agree that, for all we know, all we are granted is now, and with regards to the others, we need to make the most of the time we share with them. Because even if either one is, or both are, granted tomorrow, it doesn't mean that they will be together.
So we need to make the most of moments, because they are all we get.
A good message.

I loved it. I felt it. Although I do not agree with everything, the main point rings out honest and true. I will hold this with me for a long time. You might have just changed the way I live today.
