At Least It's Beautiful

At Least It's Beautiful

A Poem by Bobby Madden
"

Something about someone I love.

"

Where are you?

Where did you go?

You were right here where I could see you.

Where I could see your smile.

Didn’t you want to be here?

Didn’t you want me?

I felt like I was worth something.

I felt like I belonged.

Was it all a lie?

When am I supposed to believe?

How do I know what’s real?

I can’t reach you.

Come back.

I miss you.

You’re in my head.

But I’m not in yours.

My hope was in vain.

I saw us together.

A mere mirage.

I’m on this island.

Looking towards the sea.

I’ll be here awhile.

Don’t mind the tears.

No one else did.

It gets so cold.

Don’t I matter?

Do I exist?

I’ll never forget you.

The way you smiled.

And made me feel wanted.

A lie.

At least it’s beautiful.

I get like this and this reminds me alot of my writing style in the fact it seems stifled by naive youth. That's not necessarily a bad thing. It just means exagerated emotion. I like the constant questiong of happenings and the isolation felt.
