Let Free The Beast

Let Free The Beast

A Poem by The Message

In brazen misanthropy
for common bleeding,
a search and burn
of seizure, we see
what mask really lies in wait.

The greenlit meadow
glows softly in her image.
The trees sing silent.

You byzantine emperor
w***e of the direst goat,
we burn you in effigy
for burning reality
with words so acid charcoal.

The greenlit meadow glows
softly in her image.
The black trees sing silent.

If the Beast is
A wandering of mind's eye,
let wander sea to earth.
If the Beast is
A meandering of glossolallia sophic,
let meander philio dreams.
But if the Beast is your shackle,
There is nothing more to discuss.

W.O.W. I really enjoy this......all the references....the symmetrical change in stanza length.......it all works so well together....A very good read overall.......It's one of my favorites of yours....very good work! :)
