Faint Memory...

I feel something in the back of my mind,

Trying to grab attention.

I shift through my brain,

Trying to give it attention.

 

But I cant reconize

This itching memory

It bothers me,

Because I can not remember.

 

I lay on my bed,

With my hands on my head,

Trying to force this thought

Into the front and center

Of my mind.

 

Then,

It clicked.

Just like that.

A snap of a twig.

A tip of a hat.

 

How could I be so oblivious?

When this memory was so important.

 

This faint memory,

Was of your smile

When you were once happy

And not so juvanile.

 

Now that I don't know where you are,

You have gotten yourself in much more trouble than needed.

 

I miss you.

I need you.

I want you back.

But I can not have you,

Because you don't want me back.

 

From now on,

I will treasure this faint memory,

Like it was a piece of gold.

Because that is what it is to me.

A golden memory.

A true treasure.

I'm afraid a priate might steal it.

But that is not possible.

 

For, in a world where that is possible,

You would be right here, next to me

With my arm around you

And yours around me.
