Beneath the light

Beneath the light

A Poem by TheOther

In the core of your innermost fantasies

lies an alluring truth

where all the beauty of this world unveils

in this deeply seductive journey that unfolds...

Listen to the whispers of the lost

let them lead you to those far away lands

and I promise you won't forget

you won't regret...

Run through the darkwoods

against the wrath of the waves

and let the air brush against your face,

the breeze of a vision coming to life

Mysterious motives and incoherent patterns

Little did we know of what lies beneath the light...

Captivated by the unknown

swallowed by the abyss of infinity

Feel the thrill...

Anywhere but here,

this world so cruel and dull...

Amazing places await you stranger...

Just close your eyes,

you'll be where you wanna be...

Where you belong...

the first stanza really inspired me, it felt as if the beginning of a fairytale, or perhaps an epic...I really enjoyed the read. :)

this takes you on a journey that at anytime you can escape the hectic or mundane lives we lead. all we have to do is close our eyes and use our imaginations and go where ever we want. This poem makes us think of those days when we were small children and would do this all the time. Great story you have told in this poem.
