Like All Others Do

Like All Others Do

A Poem by TheOther

I know that you love me

the way everyone does.

I know that I'm special

just like anyone is.

I know how unique I am

just like everybody else...

Is it really worth it being me?

Loving me the way all others do.

Pretending the way everyone does.

Wearing the silence as a mask.

Possesed by a broken piece of mirror,

made to flatter the beholder.

Dreams of success, beauty, obssesion, perfection.

Does it even matter now, who the beholder is?

Trapped in this never ending circle

where all things look alike

the struggle goes on, the show goes on

and we go on, like all others do...

Another beautiful poem. Like all your other poems, it carries a sad and painful aura. Each line hold a meaning, a message. Amazing.

Short and bitter-sweet. Just the way I like them. :)
