Living In Envy

Living In Envy

A Poem by Chaos Stone
"

A long-led lonely life...

"
Growing up, in a lonely bed
Lost to infinite worlds, within my head
Escape from bounds, of soulless dread
If only I lived there instead
Oh God, I wish I was dead

Empty words of pain
Splattered across this page, in vain
Living in envy, of the mundane
Still I, suffer silently
From your disdain
With only, myself to blame
Eyes cast down, in shame
When I’m gone
Will you remember my name?

Sidelong glances, at love
Desire, from a distance
For I’m not good enough
There is no gift, of God above
I am all alone
With a soul, hurt to stone
Left here on my own
A broken spirit, in this shattered home
Like a foolish king, upon a broken throne
Hard-hearted, without the will to hope

Watching the world, through the glass
All of life, gone so quickly past
Alone I exist, a wayward social outcast
I run at a crawl, to nowhere fast
How long will this, vicious circle last?
