Smile

A Poem by TheStubbornPen

There's a lot in the world that still breaks my heart,

sore observations to chip it apart.

So I build my objections of old, smiling clay

and carefully carve the imperfections away,

keep ChapStick on hand to smooth out the cracks,

then patiently wait for the world to laugh back.

I daresay perhaps you've been dancing with the universal maiden in her gown of theoretic blooms and two step shoes in alabaster psalms leaving a trail of new stars in the conscious folds of mankind~
