Trigger.

Trigger.

A Poem by Katrina Lynn.
"

I put the gun to my head, the words slipping out lazily.

"
I put the gun to my head.
My words slipping out lazily.
I'll lay down in bed,
content with the deceived.
My harsh words spew,
into contaminated air.
That murderous rage,
I see in there eyes.
"I regret nothing."
Yet I still hide.
Full of disgusting pride.
Everyone hides behind a mask.
I'm the only caught.
My death was decided,
Socially.
As I pull the trigger,
And speak another lie

This is successfully intense. I am wondering if it is a metaphorical trigger, as that is how I read it..."As I pull the trigger, And speak another lie"...killing yourself with lies. I like "My death was decided, socially" as death of a social life can feel like real death. Excellent piece :)
