Woeful Wordweaver

Woeful Wordweaver

A Poem by Vale Snipes

Full dark, no stars
Swirling black consumes
Time festers my soul's corruption
Somewhere afar beckons
Beyond the great beyond
Freedom's avatar

Apotheosis into the Lord of Soliloquy
Whimsical wordweaver
Whose craft has been mastered
through metamorphosis
Of poignant melancholia
 into these bleedings
Masquerading as innocuous poetry

Releasing pent up stress
Via this pen's haemophilia
Clotting blood blotting out haunting skeletons
Scratching within the closet
 of a most parasitic solitude

My wearied will denying me the promise of the magic
My faith knows must one day move the universe
So my dreams must forage into fancy
And my imagination must wander
...into wonder and necromancy

For I must secure the dissolution
of radioactive thoughts
By diffusion across my brain's membranes
Unfurling upon the dead and undead
And upon the living...and my own self
And
Should the nightmarish silence answer again
I shall submit to its lure and be silenced forever

I keep thinking of a poet trapped, another entity within who oozes out with the ink of the pen... This piece elicits wonderful images, Rocans. By the way, you should have the words "Whimsical Wordweaver" put on a t-shirt and wear it wherever you go! :)

Indeed. My muse possesses me. I wonder how people would react to me if I had such words on my shirt!.. read more

So well written with some very beautiful but rarely used words. You have a very unique style which is a good thing. I loved the last two lines.

Thanks Bev. I have been told that a lot. Thanks for dropping by! I appreciate it. :)
I loved the warped darkness, the idea of penning with crimson made of blood. Such haunting imagery flows off the page. Very beautiful work here. Thank you for sharing.
