Autumn Senses

Autumn Senses

A Poem by Theresa

Autumn arrived over night

Over taking the trees branches

Splashing color around the forest

Leaving not a single leaf unpainted

Bringing forth the season that takes control of my senses

As pumpkin spice enters my nose

An overwhelming smell I can not get enough of

The crisp autumn air wraps around my body

Chills run through me and goosebumps cover me

Cornstalks and scarecrows come into focus

A sight that brings me overall happiness

Pumpkin pie and caramel apples enter my mouth

An explosion of flavor over powers my taste buds

The sound of leaves crunching beneath my feet

Enters my ears and makes me smile

For it is Autumn and there is no season better then this

I also like Autumn. I think it's one of the best seasons. I like the way you were able to describe in detail evrything you saw, heard and thought, this gave me good imagery to go by. I could hear the leaves yu described as well. Nice one Theresa.
