HUNGRY FOR MORE

HUNGRY FOR MORE

A Poem by DIVYA

I stare at them like never before. A screenful of shiny grey babies with perfect adult teeth chuckling at me. But their green, purple, pink eyes had icy cores.

We have eaten your joy they say as they clutch their plastic knees to bounce and roll on the floor. We loved the taste, get us more get us more get us more. I have nothing left, I implore. Prodding me with sharp little tongues they shriek, in that case we could eat you you you, for sure. Give us your breasts. There is still some life left in them that we'd love to devour.

I snap the screen shut and run run run out the door.

OH MY! A sci-fi thriller on the computer? A bad dream? The imagery is so powerful! Very eerie, Divya. Well written. Lydi**

Lol. Well that's one good thing done. Smiles. Thanks for your words. :)
I think more of us should 'snap the screen shut and run run run out of the door'! Sometimes even benign things can seem menacing. I remember once, suddenly finding the roses on the wall paper, frightening! Well written.
