TOE NAIL

A Poem by DIVYA

In damp skin brown skies
The Moon like a peeled toenail
Seems stuck with pale glue

The moon does indeed have so many facets to its ever present, glowing existence, indeed lunar fascination and enigma has always been a source of inspiration for mankind ever since we first walked this planet, and I suspect will continue to be so as long as human nature exists!

A finely penned, delightful lunar depiction...Brevity at it best!

Thank you so much SSR. Great hearing from you.
Your poem makes me think of how beauty can be found in fullness or in emptiness. The full moon looms large in the sky and gets a powerful reaction from people. But, the waning moon crescent is subtly beautiful when a person realizes that it will soon grow into something big that will light the sky.
