DEAR SON

DEAR SON

A Story by DIVYA
"

The lesson I shared with my son today

"
Dear son,

Try your best to chose love over hate or indifference.

When you love, you are in sync with the Cosmos which too was created by God with love. So you are boosted, reinforced by love. Not so with hate. Hate comes from a solitary, dark place in the soul. Its leprous patches erode and deplete you. Making you cough up blood.

And son, never be knowingly callous in love. We have spirits that can sense if someone has deliberately hurt us. The world becomes a scary place, for the soul troubled thus. And when a soul is troubled on account of us, their vibes are sure to reach us and trouble us too.

Lastly, laugh just laugh your woes away. The wind will be your helper, sweeping away the carnage, the rain will wash away the sludge and time will brush your yard with a new coat of paint.

Love,
Mum

This was extremely personal and brought a lot of emotion up in me. A mothers words can often be taken as a sort of prayer etched in the mind of a child eager for knowledge and to understand the confusing chaos that surrounds him. I have an amazing mother and yet sometimes I wish she spoke these words to me so I would be sheltered in a way from the pain I've experienced with setbacks in life. But in all honesty she must've spoke them, I just wasn't listening. Great write Divya, inspiring and heartfelt.
