I Would die for me.

I Would die for me.

A Poem by Beatrice Mars

I would die for you,
For I am selfish
And don't wish,
To stay here any longer.

I would die for you,
So that you
Could tell our
Children,
That I did.

I would die for you,
Because
Maybe then it won't be so bad
(For you)
Once I’m gone
(Where I’m going)

I would die for you,
Not because I’m
Brave,
But because I know
That you are.

And I would die for you,
So they could
Get you instead.
Because I know,
I'd give them what they wanted
(And you wouldn't)

So I'd die for me
So that
I could die for you.

Oh my what an intense piece of writing.

I would die for you,
Not because I'm
Brave
But because I know
You are.

This stanza stood out for me and not sure why...
You certainly make some interesting points here... wonderfully written.

Nicely written, I love how you start by saying you're selfish then go on to tell these scenarios that are all about what's better for others, then wrap them all together with the last verse.
