The Cross

The Cross

A Poem by C Peril

To find redemption, in a cross,
that's lost

Stand in that spacious building
and believe, for a moment

It isn't empty

See a pure, white light filter in
and know the depths

Of a beauty, created

And there is a plan, for you
as you stand among the pews

The envy, I have

That they do not live in my
cosmic darkness

Or feel my craving for
purpose

Interesting take on faith, those who do against those who don't. I like the idea of someone unable to find it themselves, being envious of those who have. Purpose against looking for purpose. Good piece.
