Life's Dead End

Life's Dead End

A Poem by Thrinna Mae
"

Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.

"

Sometimes…

Dreams are better than reality…

You can see things that will never happen in true existence…

You can go to places where you want to be…

You can do actions that you can’t perform in the real life…

But above all…

You can feel the embrace of the people who have passed away…

And once more

Show how much you love them…

My grandfather…

Meeting you in my dreams is still a gift…

From that day you left us, you’ll never imagine how life is gloomy…

I will miss you forever and until this pain of losing you fades…

Heavenly Father…

Guide him as he enters your kingdom…

Let his memories be mused by the heart of the people who know him…

His life is worth living…

So true and very moving! I agree with this poem. A lot of people fear death as it's the worst thing.. but death itself isn't something to fear. It's not having enough time.. to live is what is feared. We don't know when it'll be our time. We just gotta live the best/most we can. Enjoy life as much as we can. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather. I lost one grandfather last year and yeah, losing someone that we know is hard. I felt his presence when I heard the news and I cried the whole night as I went to sleep. But I felt his comfort too.. like making me feel it'll be okay. Hmmm..this piece is very powerful! Amazing write girl! Nice work! And remember, even the people we lose.. they'll always be with us whenever we need them. Precious memories will always be in our hearts. It's okay to miss him.

Ah...this is so sweet!
My dreams haunt me a lot
of nights because I dream
of my ex a lot of nights.
I find myself not wanting to
sleep. But I can see why
you want to sleep.
This is lovely!

The structure and font adds to your poetic works here. I think it could use one or two more examples of unique wording/words. Other than that, everything checks out as an emotional piece of art just as a poem should be.
I can understand the use of ellipses multiple times, but I'm not sure I understand your purpose of using it in every line. It's not adding any real effect to the poem. It's your creative right to do what you want with that, but I just thought I'd share my thoughts on it.

Thank you for sharing this piece with me,
Kiri
