King of this HeartA Poem by Thrinna Mae
Love isn't about winning a competition, it is about what the heart speaks.
That gleaming crown just right on your head
“This is for my friends”, that is what you said
I cheered like a ghost unlike those other girls
Who screamed so loud and made awful swirls
My heart was yearning for your mere success
Though you seem amusing with your fancy dress
But then the match started and I was all upset
As I see in your eyes a few shame and regret
You passed your throne with a candid smile
And then I gazed at you wordless for awhile
Such a gentle heart you showed me that time
I’m glad that loving you is not a mortal crime
It does not really matter if you lost the game
You’re still in my heart; it’ll always be the same
For me you’re the champion, today and forever
Leaving you by yourself that’s for sure a “never”
