Tainted Heart

Love is like a butterfly. Hold it too tight, it'll crush. Hold it too loose, it'll fly away.

The memories we had throughout those days

Such  pleasure I found in  your countless  ways

Behind my denials is a hand filled with sorrow

A fear in my heart of not seeing you tomorrow

 

Missing you so much like I’ve never felt before

All  the days  I’m wishing to see you  even more

The regrets that I’m facing for just leaving you

And now  that I am alone  feeling so  much blue

 

I gaze at the stars to grant me one more chance

And  once it was  answered it was all a  trance

Waking up with tears and yearning for your call

It wasn’t easy being in love mostly once you fall

 

Our enchanting moments will always be with me

Through my gaieties and pain I’ll carry it meekly

As I walk down the way of forgetting all and more

I’ll always tell myself that love is worth fighting for

Love, love, love!!! This piece is just great Thrinna. You never failed to bring me into that place where unspoken love is the saddest and where memories are like treasures more than gold and silver combined together. The last stanza of your poem is just as touching. Truly, love can be painful... but for most it's worth the limb and life to fight for. Great words and great piece.
