with rocks in our hands, but guns in our heart.

with rocks in our hands, but guns in our heart.

A Poem by Kasey Bassett

with rocks in our hands, but guns in our heart.
We will Lift our spirits to let them know,
that we are not who we where from the start.
These footprints, they dig in too deep,
in the soil we bled for,
where our loved ones now sleep,
washed upon our jagged shore.
once great men, now no more.
So lets grant them this moment,
so they may find their home.
within our memories, we will meet them there.
Rest where you are my brother, there is no more war.
Find peace in knowing, I now have your gun inside my heart.

There are something we are born with, such as a heart. those are things we cannot change. And for guns, Are they not but a mere symbol for revolution? change?

I really love this (: and I agree, guns are a mere symbol of revolution. People turned them bad. I love your poem, it's so beautiful (:
