Something Simple

Written for "This Shouldn't Turn Me On" contest. But hey, isn't gardening the best? (:

"

The hot sun beat down on me, drawing sweat from my pores as though I were water. On my knees, I reach down to the sweet soil, digging, churning. I turn it all over, making deep furrows with my hands. Warmth surrounds me, caressing me as I move. Taking the seeds from my pocket, I tuck them in, covering them with just enough. Then, easing up and to my feet, I gently water them. Careful not to disturb their rest, I inhale the scents of wetness and love.  This is beauty, my garden.
