Weakness?

Weakness?

A Poem by Tigra

My weaknesses
Give me pause
They are not ugly,
A blistering welt…

I do not wish
To cut their wisdom
From all that
I am…

Instead
I embrace them
Giving them room
And light…

So that I may
Inspect them
Further
A humble student…

They are reminders
That I am fallible
A perfect human
Amongst my imperfections…

Its great. It reminds us that we all have weaknesses, and we can't do anything about that. We can improve them, but we may not be able to dispose of them. Really great piece.

I love this!! What you have written goes straight to my heart, as I myself examine my own flaws and weaknesses(though i compare them with fruit in an effort to disguise them). And I so agree, we are all perfect, imperfections.....

Great job!:)

You brilliantly penned the idea that our weaknesses are parts of our life summary
and we should celebrate them as jewels & tools to keep us in check..
I especially love these verses: I do not wish To cut their wisdom From all that I am
Instead I embrace them Giving them room And light
Last verse is a killer especially the last line...
BRAVO you Wizard of Wisdom!!!

Yes it is our knowledge of our flaws that enable us to re-direct ourselves and walk the correct path.
Beautifully written, Tigra.
I love the simplicity of this poem.

Very strong in it's simplicity, although I feel like it's a a hair over-chopped. Read it slowly aloud and FEEL the pauses as your eye moves down a line; see how that resonates.

Your words with such introspection and glimpses of you, take us all to a place where we can ponder our imperfections as well. You help us wonder and reflect, and hopefully in all of that we can grow. A wonderful, thought-provoking write!
