I can't Stand to Fall

I can't Stand to Fall

A Poem by Noename

I can’t stand it,
Why have I fallen?

I can’t take it,
Why must I give it all away?

I won’t hear it,
My own voice won’t stay…

I wish to turn back,
I have to move forward.

I’ve paved a road,
And never set foot on its path.
A few steps in,
And I can do the math.

I won’t make it,
I’m too weak to take it,
So I just turn away

Voices tell me to continue,
But there’s nothing left for me to do.

Regret takes its hold,
But in one direction I head.
     A small, directionless circle.
