Al the things i'd wanted to do.

I wanted to call...
though i couldn't speak, 
all i wanted to do was hear you talk...

I wanted a simple lunch...
though i was really broke,
i just love to see you eat...

I tried to set a date...
well, u seemed really busy,
all i'd like to do is see you smile...

It just wasn't a movie...
well, it was
i just wanted an excuse to spend more time with you...

i wanted to send u roses...
one for each smile u gave me,
just to say how much your smile means to me...

well, there's lots of small things i'd love to do, 
but without you, they'd just be things to do...

here's to the girl to whom i'd be true,
a rose, simply drawn for you.
