Death's Knowledge

Death's Knowledge

A Poem by Tina Kline

I spoke to Death
               asking Him questions
He told me
               of ancient mysteries
the Wisdom of Time
               that has no beginning
                                  that has no ending
Alpha and Omega
               I stood
                         taking in His Words
Carving them
               on my heart and soul
Until I bled
               and I bled
Not realizing
               to gain Death's Knowledge
I myself - have become
               Dead

Gaining some knowledge has a price to pay. Is it worth the price? Sometimes I guess we don't know until we are paying the price.

Chilling and beautiful. The price of knowledge is fatal. This is so deep and mysterious, and the format helps it stand out. Thank you.
