In Remembrance - A 9/l1 Tribute

SEPTEMBER 11 " IN REMEMBRANCE

I’ll bet you recall just where you were

That morning years back in September

It’s hard to believe many years have now passed

As we pause to reflect ... to remember.

 

Though terrorist’s sought to break our will

“AMERICA” they will never defeat

For now as you drive through your neighborhood

Notice the flags that line your street.

 

Today - the 11^th of September -

We’ll remember those brave, strong and true

And in remembrance of all who gave their lives

I’ll be wearing Red, White and Blue.

 

Yes, I want to know why (and still don’t understand)

Why so many were lost in such toil

Though no answers have come I still hold my head high

And stand proud on AMERICA’s soil!

 

For it’s not the height of a building or the weight of its steel

That determines the strength of our Nation

But it’s the hearts of mankind - and in their courage we find

AMERICA’S determination!

 

So with my hand on my heart and my head toward the skies

I look up toward the heavens and say 

“We’re the land of the free - we’re the home of the brave …

Father, comfort Your nation today.”
